Three different careers.
One shared conclusion.

WELL Cômpass is what happens when three people arrive at the same conclusion from three very different directions — and decide the built environment has been making people unwell for long enough.

The founders

01 · Science & Technology

Sarah Morgan

Thirteen years solving one of the most underestimated problems in human health: the light we live under. An industrial designer by training, Sarah developed industry-recognised lighting technology and built Earthlight — a platform rooted in the science of how light governs human biology. Advisor to the IES, AIA, and IWBI. Work spans healthcare, aerospace, senior care, and space agencies.

“Light is the most important input for the timing of every function in our bodies.”
02 · Design & Environment

Timna Rose

Founder and creative director of studio ATARA, a sustainable interior design studio creating human-centric, health-supportive environments. A WELL Accredited Professional and WELL Mind advisor, Timna integrates biophilic, circular, and regenerative design — building spaces that measurably improve satisfaction and performance by as much as 28%.

03 · Strategy & Systems

Shane Gring

Came through buildings — not as aesthetic objects, but as instruments of human health. Began with Habitat for Humanity, founded a social enterprise that trained hundreds of professionals in green building standards. Fifteen years as a strategist, technologist, and marketer working with WELL, USGBC, SEAM, and 1% for the Planet — learning how evidence-based health frameworks get built, adopted, and scaled inside organisations.

Why this company, why now

The science is ready. The standards aren’t.

The evidence is clear enough to act on. Yet almost no designer, architect, or operator has formal training in how environments govern human biology — and the science that does exist rarely survives value engineering.

WELL Cômpass exists to make circadian alignment operational. To translate research into the frameworks, language, and decisions that get through a boardroom and into the built work.
